Excludes patients received in transfer from another hospital, patients who received antibiotic within 36 hours prior to arrival, patients who had no working diagnosis of pneumonia at time of admission, patients admitted for comfort measures only, patients who did not receive antibiotics during hospitalization and patients who had no chest x-ray or CT scan that indicated positive infiltrate within 24 hours prior to hospital arrival or anytime during hospitalization.
