From the earliest stages of planning a family to the first years of
parenthood, the Family Birthplace (FBP) is here for you.
Creating a Birthplace
You
can meet with one of our nurses for prenatal evaluations and the outlining
of an individual birth plan with support from your physician, nurse midwife,
and the Family Birthplace team.
We offer a comprehensive list of expectant parent classes
to get parents and other family members, from grandparents to siblings,
ready for the new arrival. The experienced Family Birthplace nurses instructing
the courses are often the nurses the parents will see during labor and
delivery.
Delivery
When
it comes time to deliver, we have 14 private Labor, Delivery, Recovery,
and Post-Partum rooms, including one room with a Labor Tub and nine OB/GYN
private rooms designed to promote the comfort and décor of home.
Our rooms are spacious enough to accommodate a family member throughout
the birthing experience and feature recessed state-of-the-art operating
room lighting, a large bathroom, and storage area. Mothers are also offered
the flexibility of having the baby stay with them in the room or receive
care in the nursery when the mother is resting.
