Upper Chesapeake Medical Center and Campus is located in the heart of Bel Air in Harford County, Maryland. The state-of-the-art medical center provides the latest advances in medical technology in a healing and compassionate environment.

This premier health care facility incorporates several trends that reflect how health care is changing, including reorientation towards outpatient care, more acutely ill patients in the hospital, and flexibility for growth and change to meet our community's  future health care needs.

The Medical Center's patient rooms reflect a patient and family-centered model of care, creating an atmosphere in which the patient and family or support person can be together at all times in a comfortable, relaxed, and private setting. The rooms feature a home-like decor and were designed to enhance the healing process and  make the needs of the patient and family the main priority.

Since it opened its doors in 2000, Upper Chesapeake Medical Center has grown in services and size. An expansive renovation program completed in 2008 included a new, expanded Emergency Department including an area focused on pediatric patients and surgical and inpatient bed capacity. A brand new parking garage and physician office pavilion brought convenience and much needed outpatient services to the campus.

Adjacent to the Medical Center is the Ambulatory Care Center of Harford County, containing physician offices, outpatient imaging and laboratory procedures, outpatient  pre-assessment testing, Upper Chesapeake Cardiovascular Institute,  the Upper Chesapeake Surgical Pavilion, and the administrative offices of UCH. Also located next to the medical center, is a pre-existing medical office building with physician offices and other healthcare related services.
